I think you are referring to the Puruṣa-Sūkta (The Hymn of Man — Ṛg Veda 10.90). What is so cool about this piece is that it leaves 3/4 of the “Cosmic Man” unmanifest and unseen, and the amount of “dark energy” in the universe is also about 75%. It also is (as far as I know) the first mention of Viraj, the feminine principle, which morphed into Prakṛti later (the Puruṣa/Prakṛti dualism of Saṇkhya and the Yoga Sūtra).
