Oh my goodness, your story resonated with me so much. I actually fell last weekend (slipped on the drapes where they “puddled” on the floor, with a water glass in my hand. I fell down soooooo hard, landing on my ribs and then the other elbow, then the glass shattered and my wrist came down on it. I knew there was a hunk of glass in there.

I called for my husband to bring a towel to make a tourniquet. I lifted up my hand and the glass fell out, along with a lot of blood. But it missed the artery, fortunately, by about two millimeters. We debated going to the hospital. But I know they are turning people away right now unless it is absolutely necessary.

As you know, my husband and I are already recovering from having COVID-19, but who knows what that means? Would those antibodies actually protect us — it’s under question now. What if we were exposed to another mutation of it at the hospital? So, we cleaned it up with a ton of bactine and neosporine, bandaged it tightly and wrapped it with a sticky bandage wrap. It should have had stitches. But it seems to be all right, although it still hurts like crazy!

Please tell your husband that I hope he’s feeling better. What a scary thing you went through.
