Roy, I can’t tell you how touching this is. Thank you for sharing your journey. You are a brave and strong man and a great father and husband. My daughter and son-in-law met in AA. They both fought this battle and won. They just had their first baby 2 months ago and are doing so well. My mom was also an alcoholic. I, apparently, have a very high tolerance for alcohol — I’ve been told that I probably have a high level of the enzyme that metabolizes it. So, I never get hang-overs. But, I know that I need to be careful. Just because I can tolerate, does not mean that it is good for me. I am sending you a psychic hug.

And, btw, Body Works is INCREDIBLE, isn’t it? I am so glad you shared this with your daughters. It is so cool to see up close like that how the body is put together. As a long-time yoga teacher who incorporates a lot of functional anatomy into my teachings, I absolutely loved this exhibit. I have seen it twice now and was equally as blow away the second time. I love that those people donated their bodies to science so that we could see what was happening under their skin.
