What a powerful piece, Pablo.... Thank you for sharing this. These are the stories we all need to hear right now. My heart breaks for the 10th grade you, with your backpack of poetry, put in jail for no reason. I just recently heard a story about a friend of a friend, a white woman in a mercedes. She was driving a mercedes and was high as a kite. She ran into the back of a car at a stoplight and killed a young man. She was taken to jail and then given her license and told to walk home. I don't know how it will end yet, but the idea that she wasn't held was so maddenly insane to me.
